What Bloomura is
Bloomura helps you record your period and how you feel, shows estimates worked out from what you logged, and explains what many people notice through a cycle. Every piece of health information in it names the source it was summarised from.
What it is not
Bloomura is not a doctor, not your healthcare guide and not a medical device. It does not diagnose anything, and nothing in it is medical advice.
Its estimates — of your next period, of when you may ovulate, of which phase you are in, of fertile days — come only from what you logged, and they can be wrong. They are never a method of contraception, and must not be used to avoid a pregnancy. If you are trying to conceive, they are a rough guide from your own log, not a promise.
Do not follow anything in the app blindly or rely on it to make decisions about your health. Talk to a doctor, nurse or pharmacist. If you think you need urgent help, call your local emergency number.
The health information in it
The articles and notes are written in Bloomura’s own words from organisations and research people already trust, and each says where it comes from. They are general information, not a reading of your own body, and they may not reflect the newest advice. Where the app says a piece has not yet been reviewed by a clinician, that is the case.
Your information
What you log is yours. It stays on your phone, as the Privacy Policy describes, unless you turn on sync. Without sync, nothing is kept anywhere else, so keeping your phone safe — and keeping an export if you want a copy — is up to you, and a lost phone loses what you logged on it.
Bloomura Plus
Bloomura Plus is an optional monthly subscription that adds sync and a copy of your log kept with your account. Everything else in Bloomura is free.
Plus is sold and billed by Apple or Google. After any free trial it renews each month until you cancel, which you do in your App Store or Google Play settings. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel it.
If Plus ends, nothing on your phone is removed or locked, and you can still bring your log down from your account or delete it. Only sending new changes stops, until Plus is on again.
Your account
If you create an account, keep its password to yourself. An account that is used to misuse the service may be closed; what is on your phone is never touched.
Who can use it
You must be 13 or older to use Bloomura.
Using the app
You may use Bloomura for your own, personal use. Please do not copy, sell or misuse the app or its content.
Bloomura is provided as it is, and it may change over time. To the extent the law allows, its makers are not responsible for decisions made on the strength of what it shows. Nothing here takes away rights you have by law.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change in a way that matters, the app will show you the new version and ask you to agree again before you carry on.
